Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Recall ("we", "us") for using the Recall app and service. By creating an account or using Recall, you accept them.
Who can use Recall
You must be at least 16 years old. Recall is invite-only for now: you need a valid invite code to create an account. One account per person, with accurate information about yourself.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and use one you don't use elsewhere. You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has access, change your password or tell us right away.
What's yours
You own what you add to Recall: your profile, contacts, notes and photos. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run Recall for you, for example to show your public profile to your contacts or to answer your requests to Recall AI. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they expire.
Respect the people you meet
Recall is for real professional relationships. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive anyone;
- post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise objectionable;
- add people or information to Recall in ways that break the law or someone's privacy;
- use Recall to send spam or to collect other people's data at scale;
- try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or interfere with the service.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can block anyone from their contact, and report them to us. We review reports and may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Location and your address book
Sharing your location and matching your address book are off until you turn them on, and you can turn them off at any time. When presence is on, your Recall contacts can see where you are with the precision you chose. Only use Recall where it's safe and lawful to do so.
Recall AI
Recall AI drafts notes, answers questions and sets reminders from what you give it. It can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it.
The service
We work to keep Recall running and secure, and we keep improving it, which means features can change. Recall is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't give warranties about it, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Account, Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we'll tell you why when we can.
Apple
If you got Recall from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Recall or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If Recall fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm you're not in a country under a U.S. government embargo or on a U.S. list of prohibited parties. You must also follow the App Store's terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. If you keep using Recall after that, you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Before going to court, write to us and we'll try to solve it together.
